Deerfield Beach CRA Revitalizes City Areas | Local News

The Deerfield Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) works to eliminate blight, increase the local tax base and encourage investment in designated redevelopment zones. Established in 1999, the agency uses tax increment revenue to fund projects that upgrade public infrastructure and support private sector partnerships.

The CRA aims to develop areas where market forces alone have not driven sufficient growth. By providing dedicated funding and planning, the agency seeks to promote economic development and improve the quality of life for residents. The City’s Mayor and Commissioners, who form the CRA Board of Directors, oversee the CRA Plan's execution.

The current CRA Board includes Mayor Toddy Drosky, District 1 Commissioner Michael Hudak, Vice Mayor and District 2 Commissioner Ben Preston, District 3 Commissioner Daniel Shanetzky, and District 4 Commissioner Tom Plaut. Residents can contact the board via email through the commission's website.
