Lighthouse Point Planning & Zoning Board: Monthly Meetings
The Lighthouse Point Planning & Zoning Board meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Fletcher Hall. Residents must submit applications by the deadline preceding each meeting.

The Lighthouse Point Planning & Zoning Board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in Fletcher Hall. The board, established May 8, 1962, guides the city's development and land use.
City Commission members appoint residents to the board for one-year terms. Current members include Chair Dennis Smith, Vice Chair William Gallo, Michael J. Cohen, Frederick R. MacLean Jr., and Susan Motley. Alex Argento, Kenton Hajdic, and Dominic Romano serve as alternate members.
The board grants temporary permits for nonconforming uses, hears zoning appeals, and determines variance requests. It also reviews development plans for B-2A and B-3A districts and recommends rezoning, plat approval, and plan changes to the City Commission.
Application deadlines precede meeting dates. For the Nov. 3, 2026 meeting, the application deadline was Oct. 2, 2026. All meeting dates are subject to change.
