Winter Weather Advisory: Snow Expected, Travel Impacts Possible

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Monday, October 12, for multiple counties, with snow, strong winds, and difficult travel conditions expected. Drive with caution.

Residents in Eastern Glacier, Western Toole, Central Pondera, Eastern Toole, Liberty, Western and Central Chouteau County, Bears Paw Mountains, Southern Blaine, and Fergus County below 4500ft should prepare for a Winter Weather Advisory, effective immediately until 6:00 AM MDT Monday, October 12.

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued this advisory, forecasting snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches in lower elevations, and 5 to 10 inches in the mountains. Gusts up to 40 mph are also expected. Travel conditions could become difficult, and the combination of gusty winds and heavy snow may lead to downed tree branches and isolated power outages.

Drivers are advised to slow down and use caution. For the latest road conditions, dial 511.
