A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Northern Liberty County, including Hosford and Bristol, as of 5:03 AM EDT today, October 8. Tropical storm-force winds are expected within the next 36 hours. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee urges residents to complete preparations immediately.

Residents can expect winds of 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, with the potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Damage to unsecured property, large tree limbs, and some power outages are possible. Major rainfall flooding is also anticipated, with an additional 3-6 inches possible, leading to potential evacuations and rescues. A Flood Watch is in effect.

The situation is favorable for several tornadoes, with a few possibly intense. Those in manufactured homes or boats should prepare to relocate to safe shelter. Listen for tornado watches and warnings and be ready to shelter quickly. This warning is effective until 1:15 PM UTC today.
