A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Northern Liberty, including Hosford and Bristol, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee FL, effective immediately as of October 9 at 5:17 AM EDT. Residents must complete preparations now before hazardous winds arrive.

While peak winds are forecast at 10-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, there is potential for winds of 39 to 57 mph. This could lead to limited damage to property, downed tree limbs, and scattered power outages. Efforts to protect property should be underway. Driving conditions may become hazardous on bridges and elevated roadways.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 4-8 inches of rain expected, potentially causing major flooding. Evacuations and rescues are likely. Heed all flood watches and warnings; failure to act could result in serious injury or loss of life. Rivers and tributaries may overflow, and many roads could become impassable. The NWS also indicates a favorable situation for several tornadoes, some potentially intense. Listen for tornado watches and warnings and be ready to shelter quickly. Those in manufactured homes or on boats should relocate to safe shelter.

This warning expires at 1:30 PM UTC today. For more information, visit weather.gov/tallahassee or floridadisaster.org.
