Survey Shows Employers Planning Increased AI Adoption in Health Benefits

Employers anticipate greater use of artificial intelligence in the administration of health and benefit programs in the coming years, according to a survey conducted by WTW, a global advisory, broking, and solutions company.

The survey found that a significant portion of employers plan to integrate AI into their health and benefits operations within the next two years. The WTW survey, however, also suggests that employers may face challenges related to resources and governance in implementing AI solutions effectively.

Specific areas where challenges may arise include ensuring adequate resource allocation for AI implementation and establishing governance frameworks to manage AI applications. Additionally, the survey identified potential gaps in readiness to scale AI solutions in a responsible manner. The survey did not address the types of AI usage, the size or location of the companies surveyed, or the number of companies included in their research.
