Irmo Appoints Nicholle Burroughs Deputy Town Administrator
The Town of Irmo hired Nicholle Burroughs as Deputy Town Administrator, effective May 18. Burroughs spent 17 years in senior municipal government roles, most recently as Town Administrator for Chapin.
At Chapin, Burroughs secured $2.8 million in grant funding, led a town-wide software conversion that improved departmental efficiency, expanded police staffing, and launched the Chapin Art Trail, a public art initiative that won awards.
Burroughs founded Rile Consulting Services, advising South Carolina municipalities, chambers of commerce, and nonprofits on strategic planning and economic development. She has held leadership positions with local foundations and civic organizations.
She replaces Doug Polen, who becomes Town Administrator for Blythewood.
"Doug Polen has done an outstanding job for Irmo as a steady, trusted leader," Town Administrator Jim Crosland said. "We are pleased to welcome Nicholle Burroughs, who brings strong municipal leadership experience and a track record of delivering results."
