Irmo Appoints Nicholle Burroughs Deputy Town Administrator
The Town of Irmo appointed Nicholle Burroughs as Deputy Town Administrator, effective May 18, 2026.
Burroughs previously served as Town Administrator for Chapin, where she oversaw daily municipal operations and advised elected officials on policy, budgeting, and planning. During her tenure, she secured $2.8 million in grant funding, led a town-wide software conversion, expanded police staffing, and launched the Chapin Art Trail, a public art initiative that won awards.
She replaces Doug Polen, who moves to the same role with the Town of Blythewood.
"Doug Polen has done an outstanding job for Irmo," Town Administrator Jim Crosland said. "We are pleased to welcome Nicholle Burroughs. She brings strong municipal leadership experience and a track record of delivering results."
Burroughs founded Rile Consulting Services, advising municipalities, chambers of commerce, and nonprofits on strategic planning, government relations, and economic development. She has held leadership roles with local foundations and civic organizations.
