Residents in Central Interior Cumberland and Androscoggin Counties must take immediate action to protect sensitive outdoor plants. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Gray, ME, has issued a Freeze Warning effective from 2:00 AM EDT to 8:00 AM EDT tomorrow, Sunday, October 11.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees Fahrenheit are expected. These temperatures can kill tender plants if they are not covered or brought indoors. The NWS advises taking steps now to protect vulnerable vegetation from the cold.

This warning was issued on October 10 at 2:37 PM EDT and applies specifically to the designated areas within Cumberland and Androscoggin Counties.
