A Freeze Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Spokane WA, effective from Monday evening, October 11th, through Tuesday morning, October 13th.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29°F are possible in affected areas. This includes Culdesac, Okanogan, Alpowa Summit, Lewiston, Pomeroy, Disautel Pass, Tonasket, Nespelem, Clarkston, Bridgeport, Peck, Brewster, Oroville, Gifford, Omak, Lapwai, and Lewiston Grade.

These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Additionally, unprotected outdoor plumbing may be damaged. The NWS advises all residents in the watch area to act now to safeguard vulnerable plants and outdoor water systems.
