Rehoboth Beach Installs All-Way Stops at 7 Intersections

Rehoboth Beach to Install All-Way Stops at Seven Intersections

Rehoboth Beach officials approved converting seven intersections to all-way stops at their May 4 meeting, a change designed to improve traffic safety.

The city will install stops at Henlopen Avenue at Gerard and Third streets, Columbia Avenue at Gerard, Fourth and Third streets, and State Road at Hickman/Canal and Munson/Grove streets.

Work on the two Henlopen Avenue intersections begins May 11. Because those roads are not state-controlled, the city can proceed without Delaware Department of Transportation approval.

The Columbia Avenue and State Road intersections require DelDOT authorization before installation. The state has not set a timeline for review.
