Lehigh Acres: Mail or Drop Off Vote-by-Mail Ballots

Lehigh Acres voters have multiple options to return their vote-by-mail ballots. The Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office covers postage for all returned ballots.

Voters mailing their ballots should do so at least 14 days before the election to ensure timely arrival. This allows for postal delivery and processing.

Ballots can also be returned in person by the voter or an immediate family member. Any individual may collect and return up to two ballots for people who are not immediate family members. Florida Statute 104.0616 classifies possessing more than two vote-by-mail ballots per election, outside of one’s own or an immediate family member’s, as a third-degree felony.

During early voting, voters can drop off ballots at secure ballot intake stations at each early voting site. After early voting ends, ballots can be delivered to any Supervisor of Elections office during regular business hours. On Election Day, these offices will accept ballots until 7:00 p.m.

Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be returned to a voter's assigned polling place on Election Day. Voters who arrive at their polling place with a mail ballot may surrender it and vote in person.
