At 215 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 9 miles southeast of Jena to 14 miles west of Midway, or extending from 35 miles south of Columbia to 22 miles southeast of Winnfield, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include... Jena, Midway, Pollock, Dry Prong, Georgetown, Rogers, Fishville, Nebo, Catahoula Lake, Zenoria, Rochelle and Bentley.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions.

If on or near Catahoula Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
