Wind Advisory Issued: Gusts Up To 55 MPH Expected
A Wind Advisory has been issued for parts of California and Nevada, with gusts up to 55 mph expected from today until Monday morning; secure outdoor objects and use caution while driving.
A Wind Advisory has been issued for Death Valley National Park in California, and Esmeralda and Central Nye County, as well as Western Clark and Southern Nye County in Nevada, effective immediately. The National Weather Service (NWS) Las Vegas NV issued the advisory today, October 11, at 4:15 AM PDT, and it remains in effect until 5:00 AM PDT on Monday, October 12.
South winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts potentially as high as 45 to 55 mph. These conditions can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Residents in the affected areas should use extra caution when traveling.
The NWS advises securing outdoor objects to prevent them from being blown around. Strong winds may also bring down tree limbs and could lead to isolated power outages. Stay informed and take necessary precautions until the advisory expires.
