IEC Opens Las Cruces Electrical Training Facility
Independent Electrical Contractors Southern New Mexico will break ground Friday on an 8,400-square-foot training facility at 8881 Trigg Loop in the Las Cruces Innovation and Industrial Park.
The facility will house offices, conference rooms, vocational labs, and a classroom for electrical apprenticeship and workforce training programs. Mayor Eric Enriquez, Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance President and CEO Davin Lopez, Local IEC President Tim Shaffstall, National IEC President Don Sharkey, and NAI First Valley Associate Broker Preston Williams will speak at the 10 a.m. ceremony.
The City of Las Cruces Economic Development team provided financial support and business expansion assistance for the project. The groundbreaking is open to media and invited guests only. The City will livestream the event on its YouTube channel at youtube.com/@lascrucesgov.
