What's with that Big Hole in the Education Center Parking Lot?
If you’ve driven through the Indian Rocks Largo campus recently, you’ve probably noticed a big hole in the Education Center parking lot — and maybe wondered, what’s going on?
If you’ve driven through the Indian Rocks Largo campus recently, you’ve probably noticed a big hole in the Education Center parking lot — and maybe wondered, what’s going on? We’re excited to share that this is all part of a major Soaring Forward improvement project to enhance traffic flow and parking across our campus. The work underway involves cutting the current retention pond in half to make way for a brand-new main thoroughfare. This road will connect our two main entrances and feature a roundabout to help ease congestion and improve navigation. But we still need a functioning retention pond — so the remaining portion is being relocated into part of the existing parking area. To compensate for those lost spaces, we’re converting the area adjacent to the new chapel and church offices into a new parking lot. Not only will this replace the lost spots, but it will also increase the total number of parking spaces available on campus. We appreciate your patience during construction and look forward to the positive impact this project will have on our campus layout and overall accessibility. Stay tuned for more updates as the work progresses!
