Where to watch the solar eclipse in North Central Florida

Where to watch the solar eclipse in North Central Florida Updated: Apr 5, 2024 / 05:18 PM EDT There will be a solar eclipse on April 8, and North Central Florida will be able to view it. According to NASA, a solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, casting a shadow on Earth, blocking the sun. When watching the solar eclipse, wearing specialized eye protection is important. Viewing any part of the sun through a camera lens, binoculars or telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury.
