Drivers in the South Laramie Range and Foothills, including the Interstate 80 Summit between Cheyenne and Laramie, are advised to exercise extreme caution due to a Dense Fog Advisory now in effect.

Issued by the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the advisory is for dense fog reducing visibility to one-quarter mile or less. This condition began at 9:04 PM MDT on October 12 and is expected to continue until 7:00 AM MDT on October 13.

Low visibility can create hazardous driving conditions. The National Weather Service instructs all drivers to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain ample distance from other vehicles. These precautions are critical for safety in dense fog.
