Polk Schools Affirm Nondiscrimination in Career Programs

The Polk County School District has issued its annual nondiscrimination notice, affirming its commitment to equal opportunity in all programs and activities, including those at Traviss Technical College.

Federal law prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, and handicap. The district also does not discriminate based on religion or marital status, in accordance with Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Traviss Technical College offers Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs such as Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heating Technology; Applied Cybersecurity; Automotive Collision Technology; Automotive Service Technology; Barbering; Commercial Vehicle Driving; Cosmetology; Electricity; Facial Specialist; Medical Assisting; Patient Care Technician; Pharmacy Technician; Phlebotomy; Practical Nursing; Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality; and Welding Technology. The district seeks interested individuals for admission to these programs.
