99 Montverde Academy Students Earn AP Scholar Awards
Montverde Academy announced that 99 students earned AP Scholar awards following their Advanced Placement exam performance this spring.
The Class of 2023 produced 16 National AP Scholars, the program's highest distinction. Twenty-eight students qualified as AP Scholars with Distinction, 13 earned AP Scholar with Honor recognition, and 42 achieved AP Scholar status.
National AP Scholar recognition requires an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more exams. AP Scholar with Distinction requires an average of at least 3.5 on all exams and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams.
The College Board administers AP exams each May. Most colleges accept scores of 3 or higher for college credit. Students earned awards across sciences, mathematics, humanities and languages.
