Lake County is constructing a new roundabout at Eudora Road and Old U.S. Highway 441 as part of a larger project addressing transportation, safety and drainage concerns in the area.

The City of Mount Dora encourages residents and visitors to continue supporting businesses affected by construction. Lake County has installed signage throughout the area reminding drivers that businesses remain open and is continuing to maintain access throughout the project.

The project has a contracted duration of 640 days, which includes utility relocations, construction of a smaller roundabout on Bay Road to accommodate the detour, and other necessary project elements. The project remains on schedule.
A full closure of the Eudora Road and Old U.S. Highway 441 intersection is expected to begin in February 2027 and last approximately three months. Businesses will remain accessible during the closure.
Since 2015, nearly 100 crashes have been reported in the project area, and Lake County has received requests regarding serious flooding and drainage concerns. The improvements are designed to address these longstanding safety, traffic and drainage needs.
This is a Lake County project. The City of Mount Dora will continue sharing significant project updates and information affecting local businesses, residents and visitors as it is provided by Lake County.
