Lake County 2024 Building Codes: June 30 Implementation

Lake County will implement updated building codes on June 30 following the Board of County Commissioners' adoption of Resolution 2026-20 on May 19.

The resolution amends the Lake County Building Code to incorporate the 2024 International Building Code and related codes. The county currently operates under the 2018 ICC Code.

New building permits issued on or after June 30 will comply with the updated standards. Projects permitted before that date will continue under the 2018 code.
