Diabetes Affects Over 29 Million Americans, CDC Reports

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that over 29 million people in the United States have diabetes. This figure represents an increase from the CDC's 2010 estimate of 26 million.

The report also indicated that approximately one in four individuals with diabetes, or around 7.25 million people, are unaware that they have the disease.

Early diagnosis and management of diabetes are critical for preventing long-term health complications, according to medical professionals.
