SJLS Classical Academy Raises $302 for Heifer Project
Staff Writer
June 11, 2026
Students at SJLS Classical Academy collected $302.79 through chapel offerings for Heifer Project International, a nonprofit that provides livestock to families in poverty worldwide.
The kindergarten through eighth-grade students' donation will purchase one sheep, one goat, one flock of chicks, and one honey bee hive. A matching donor will double the contribution if the school submits it before June 30, providing two of each animal to families in need.
Heifer Project International has distributed livestock to smallholder farmers since 1944, helping them build sustainable food sources and address hunger and poverty in their communities.
