ICE Extends Contract for Texas Detention Facility

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) extended its contract for a significant detention facility located in Texas for an additional year. The agency announced its decision to continue operations at the center, which ranks among its largest nationwide.

ICE renewed the contract without initiating a competitive bidding process. This extension will maintain the facility's operational status for at least 12 more months.

Officials at ICE have stated the extension ensures continuity of detention operations. The contract renewal enables the agency to continue housing individuals at the Texas site.
