DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – The temporary closure of SW 10th Street, between SW 11th Avenue and SW 12th Avenue, has been extended to Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. The City of Deerfield Beach Environmental Services Team announced the delay due to weather conditions impacting ongoing sewer gravity main repairs near the Crystal Lake community.

The original closure was set to end Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026. The extended closure affects traffic flow as crews work to complete the necessary infrastructure repairs.

Drivers should follow posted detour signs and traffic control devices for safety and to minimize travel delays, especially those heading toward Hillsboro Beach.

Environmental Services understands the inconvenience the extended closure may cause and thanks the community for its patience and cooperation while crews complete these essential repairs. The project aims to improve the city's underground infrastructure and enhance neighborhood resilience.

For more information on the sewer gravity main repairs and the road closure, contact Environmental Services at 954-250-4307.
