A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10:00 AM CDT today, September 30, for central and western Minnesota, causing hazardous driving conditions with visibility under a quarter-mile.
Residents in central and western Minnesota should exercise extreme caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory. The National Weather Service (NWS) Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN has issued this advisory, effective immediately until 10:00 AM CDT today, September 30.
Visibility is currently one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, creating hazardous driving conditions. The affected counties include Kandiyohi, Renville, Brown, Redwood, Chippewa, Douglas, Lac Qui Parle, Pope, Stevens, Swift, and Yellow Medicine.
The NWS advises all drivers to slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance between their vehicle and others. These actions are crucial to prevent accidents in the reduced visibility. The advisory is expected to expire at 10:00 AM CDT.
