The National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton has issued a Freeze Watch, effective from late tonight, October 9, through Saturday morning, October 10. Sub-freezing temperatures, potentially as low as 29 degrees Fahrenheit, are possible.
This Freeze Watch was issued today, October 9, at 6:10 AM PDT and remains in effect until October 10 at 10:00 AM PDT. The NWS Pendleton specifies that frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Unprotected outdoor plumbing could also sustain damage.
