Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Campbell, Union Counties Until 6:15 PM EDT

Residents in parts of Campbell and Union Counties are urged to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building immediately due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Morristown TN.

The warning is in effect until 6:15 PM EDT today, September 20, 2026. At 5:55 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles east of La Follette, moving southeast at 15 mph.

This storm poses a hazard of 60 mph wind gusts and penny-sized hail, according to radar indications. The NWS advises that impacts may include damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations specifically impacted include Fincastle and Sharps Chapel.
