Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Martin, Washington, Tyrrell, Dare, Hyde Counties

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Martin, Washington, Tyrrell, Mainland Dare, and Mainland Hyde Counties until 9:00 AM EDT today, October 2nd, with drivers urged to slow down and use headlights due to hazardous low visibility.

Drivers in Martin, Washington, Tyrrell, Mainland Dare, and Mainland Hyde Counties are advised to slow down and use caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC. The advisory is effective immediately, from 6:04 AM EDT until 9:00 AM EDT today, October 2nd.

Visibility is reported to be one quarter mile or less due to dense fog. These conditions can make driving hazardous.

If you are driving in the affected areas, remember to slow down, use your headlights (do not use high-beams), and maintain plenty of distance between your vehicle and others.

This advisory is set to expire at 9:00 AM EDT.
