Wind Advisory Issued: Gusts Up To 70 MPH Expected Through Midnight
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Eastern Juab/Millard Counties, Central Mountains, Sevier Valley, Bryce Canyon Country, and Upper Sevier River Valleys until midnight tonight, with gusts up to 70 mph expected.
Residents in Eastern Juab/Millard Counties, the Central Mountains, Sevier Valley, Bryce Canyon Country, and Upper Sevier River Valleys should prepare for strong winds. The National Weather Service (NWS) Salt Lake City has issued a Wind Advisory effective immediately, October 11, at 10:31 AM MDT, until midnight MDT tonight, October 12.
South winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. Gusts could reach up to 70 mph in the Central Mountains. These strong winds may blow around unsecured objects and could lead to power outages.
The NWS advises extreme caution, especially for drivers of high-profile vehicles and those towing trailers, as driving conditions may become difficult. Secure any outdoor items that could be moved by the wind.
