Jupiter Inlet Navigation Map Updated for Shoal Shifts
The Jupiter Inlet District released bathymetric survey data showing the ebb shoal has shifted southeast since the last survey, with deeper channels moving in that direction.
The survey, completed May 1, maps depths relative to mean lower low water. Yellow areas indicate negative 8 feet; light green shows negative 10 feet. The district posted the data and an interactive KMZ file at jupiterinletdistrict.org, allowing boaters to view the survey in Google Earth with specific latitude and longitude coordinates.
Conditions shift constantly outside Jupiter Inlet. Boaters should consult multiple sources before attempting passage. The Jupiter Inlet District Commission continues investigating solutions to the inlet's ongoing navigation challenges.
For questions about the survey, contact the district at 561-746-2223 or through its website.
