REMINDER

REMINDER FY2025/26 Solid Waste & Fire Services Hardship Assistance Applications Due June 1st This is a reminder that the application period for the FY2025/26 Solid Waste and Fire Services Hardship Assistance Program is currently open, and the deadline to apply is June 1, 2026. The Hardship Assistance Program was created to assist residential property owners who meet the eligibility criteria with the financial burden imposed by the Solid Waste and Fire Services Assessments. To apply for hardship assistance, citizens must complete an application and submit it to the County Administrator's Office for consideration before June 1, 2026. The applicant must be the owner of the residential property, which must also be homestead exempt, and must meet the income criteria set forth in the Application. It should also be noted that the Hardship Applications will no longer be mailed out to citizens; however, Applications can be obtained by Clicking Here, or can be obtained from the County website (www.mywakulla.com), or from the BOCC Administration Office, 3093 Crawfordville Hwy. If you have questions relating to this program, please contact Jessica Welch at (850) 926-0919 ext. 706 or via email at [email protected].
