The 2026 Fridays After 5 (FA5) summer concert series lineup has been announced, promising eight weeks of free, family-friendly live music in downtown Johnson City. The popular series will return to King Commons, located at 112 N. Commerce St., every Friday evening in June and July from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Residents from Jonesborough and surrounding Washington County have long enjoyed this summer tradition.
This year's series kicks off on June 5 with Big Gun, an AC/DC tribute band, for rock and roll night. Subsequent Fridays will feature performances by the Lucille Klement Band on June 12, The Maggie Valley Band on June 19, and Florencia and the Feeling on June 26. The July schedule includes Donnie and the Dry Heavers on July 10, Isaac Hadden on July 17, Crawford and Power on July 24, and Charlie Maples closing out the series on July 31.
The Fridays After 5 series is presented by Cherokee Distributing, Yee-Haw Brewing Company, Gypsy Circus Cider, Ballad Health, and Atmos Energy. Connect Downtown Johnson City, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and an accredited National Main Street program, organizes the event to bring residents and visitors together for a shared community experience, much like the annual Jonesborough Storytelling Festival does for our own historic town.
Organizations interested in sponsorship opportunities for the 2026 season can contact Sara DelBene at [email protected] or by calling 423.434.5975. More information about the concert series and Connect Downtown Johnson City's initiatives can be found by visiting their website or following their social media accounts.
