Jacksonville Heatwave: Sweltering Temps & Afternoon Storms

Jacksonville residents face sweltering heat today, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-90s. Heat index values will climb to 100-105 degrees Fahrenheit, particularly during the Jacksonville Jaguars game.

The morning and early afternoon will remain dry. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop by the second half of the game across northeast Florida. These storms could bring brief heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty winds.

Tonight, rain is expected to end, leaving partly cloudy skies. The low will be around 75 degrees.

Monday will also be hot, with highs near 92 degrees and a chance of afternoon storms before onshore winds develop late Monday night. From Tuesday onward, temperatures will drop into the 80s, with occasional heavy showers moving onshore due to coastal breezes.

Wednesday through Saturday will feature partly cloudy conditions with breezy weather and a few coastal showers daily. Highs will generally be in the mid-80s, with lows in the low to mid-70s.
