Dr. Donald Comer Named 11th President of Lane College

Lane College's Board of Trustees named Dr. Donald Comer the institution's 11th president. Comer served as interim president since 2024.

During his interim tenure, Comer advanced strategic initiatives in academic excellence, experiential learning, enrollment management, financial stability, and community engagement.

"I am honored by the Board's confidence and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Lane College in this capacity," Comer said. "Over the past two years, we built a strong foundation together."

Comer earned his Ph.D. from Jackson State University. Lane College is a member institution of the United Negro College Fund.
