Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital earns national recognition for patient safety

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital earns national recognition for patient safety St. Petersburg, Fla. – Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital was awarded an ‘A’ Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for spring 2024. This national distinction recognizes Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital’s achievements in protecting patients from preventable harm and error in the hospital. The Leapfrog Group is a national watchdog organization that assigns grades to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections, and other harms. “We are incredibly proud to receive an ‘A’ Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade,” said John Moore, president of Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our entire team in providing the safest and highest quality care to our patients. We are committed to continuous improvement and ensuring that every patient who walks through our doors receives the best possible care.” The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospital prevention of medical errors and harms, giving patients the information they need to protect themselves and their families. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
