Oceanside Church of Christ Names September Worship Leaders

Atlantic Beach residents attending the Oceanside Church of Christ will recognize familiar faces leading worship services throughout September. The church released its schedule detailing who will lead opening prayers, the Lord's Supper, and deliver sermons each week.

Each Sunday service includes hymns, prayers, communion, and a sermon. For September, the church designated specific individuals to lead these elements.

The month begins Sept. 7 with James H presiding. Ralph St will offer the opening prayer, David S will lead the Lord's Supper, and Mike B will oversee the contribution. Mark H delivers the sermon, with Ralph St closing the service in prayer. Hymns will be "Holy, Holy, Holy" (#109) and "The Solid Rock" (#539).

On Sept. 14, Mike B presides, followed by James H for the opening prayer. David S leads the Lord's Supper, and Mike B manages the contribution. Mark H delivers the sermon, with Ralph St offering the closing prayer. The congregation will sing "What A Friend" (#335) and "Trust and Obey" (#678).

The following week, Sept. 21, Ralph St presides. James H offers the opening prayer, and David S leads the Lord's Supper. Mike B oversees the contribution, and Mark H delivers the sermon. Ralph St leads the closing prayer. Hymns include "Holy, Holy, Holy" (#109) and "What A Friend" (#335).

Concluding the month on Sept. 28, James H presides. Ralph St offers the opening prayer, and David S leads the Lord's Supper. Mike B manages the contribution, and Mark H delivers the final sermon. David S offers the closing prayer. The congregation will sing "Shepherd of Love" (#695) and "Trust and Obey" (#678).

James H, Mike B, Ralph St, and David S will consistently participate in various leadership roles, with Mark H delivering the sermon each week in September.
