Jax Beach Enters Phase III Water Restrictions Due to Drought

Jacksonville Beach and surrounding areas are now under Phase III extreme water shortage restrictions. The St. Johns River Water Management District implemented the temporary measures to conserve local water supplies amid ongoing drought conditions. The restrictions took effect immediately.

Landscape irrigation is limited to one day per week between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. Homeowners with odd-numbered addresses or no address will water on Saturdays. Those with even-numbered addresses are scheduled for Sundays. Nonresidential properties will observe their watering day on Tuesdays.

Watering is prohibited between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Irrigation systems are limited to applying a maximum of three-quarters of an inch of water per zone, with a total watering time not exceeding one hour per zone on the designated day. These restrictions apply to all water sources, including private wells, pumps, surface water, and utility water.

Residents should inspect irrigation systems for leaks and avoid watering streets, sidewalks, and driveways. More information on water shortage and conservation tips is available on the St. Johns River Water Management District website.
