Atlantic Beach Board OKs Fence Variance, Reviews Land Use Map

ATLANTIC BEACH – The Atlantic Beach Community Development Board approved a fence variance request and reviewed proposed amendments to the city's Future Land Use Map during its July 16, 2013, meeting.

The board granted a variance for a fence at 850 Seminole Road (APN: 16-2S-27-0000-0030-0010) allowing it to be situated within the front yard setback. Applicant John Smith received permission for the variance.

In old business, board members reviewed proposed amendments to the Future Land Use Map as part of the city's comprehensive plan update. The board also discussed potential amendments to the city's zoning ordinances.

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and the approval of minutes from the June 18, 2013, regular meeting. Board members offered comments during the 'Other Business' portion before adjournment.
