Counties affected include Fleming, Montgomery, Bath, Rowan, Estill, Powell, Menifee, Jackson, Harlan, Elliott, Morgan, Johnson, Wolfe, Magoffin, Floyd, Lee, Breathitt, Knott, Owsley, Perry, Clay, Leslie, Letcher, Martin, and Pike. Recent rainfall followed by clearing skies and lighter winds are contributing to the formation of fog, which is expected to be particularly dense in valleys, with visibility dropping below half a mile in some areas.
Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution. Slow down, allow ample space between vehicles, and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Use low-beam headlights and allocate additional time for your morning commute to ensure a safe arrival at your destination.
