...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WITH GUSTY WINDS AND LITTLE RAINFALL...

A strong low pressure system in northeastern California will bring scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening with outflow wind gusts up to 50 mph and little rainfall. As the low moves into southeastern Oregon late tonight and southwestern Idaho on Friday, scattered thunderstorms will develop again, especially on the Idaho side.

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Fire Weather Watch for winds and low relative humidities, which is in effect from late tonight through Friday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zones 403 Northern Boise National Forest, 421 Southern Boise/Western Sawtooth NF and including the Camas Prairie.

* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, until 9 PM MDT this evening. For the Fire Weather Watch, from late tonight through Friday evening.

* WINDS...For the Fire Weather Watch, Northwest 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For the Fire Weather Watch, 39 to 53 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...For the Fire Weather Watch, 56 to 68 degrees.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Scattered coverage with abundant lightning.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty erratic winds up to 50 mph.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
