Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Baldwin, Clarke, Washington Counties

Residents in northwestern Baldwin, southeastern Washington, and south-central Clarke Counties in Alabama are advised to seek immediate shelter. The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning effective until 8:30 PM CDT tonight, September 21.

At 7:49 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northeast of McIntosh, or 11 miles south of Jackson, moving southwest at 25 mph. This storm is capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts, according to radar indications. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include McIntosh. For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This warning expires at 8:30 PM CDT.
