Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Services Division Chief Augie Rodriguez graduated from the FBI Florida Executive Development Seminar Session XXVII. The 40-hour course, held in Destin from September 13-18, focused on leadership, management, ethics, and media relations for top law enforcement officials.
This achievement signals Chief Rodriguez's continued dedication to enhancing local law enforcement capabilities. Residents benefit from leaders who receive advanced training in critical areas like cybercrimes and criminal intelligence, directly impacting public safety and the effectiveness of the Sheriff's Office.
Chief Rodriguez joined the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in 2012, bringing 16 years of law enforcement experience to the community. He received a promotion to division chief of the Investigative Services Division in 2025. This division plays a crucial role in overseeing criminal intelligence, crime scene investigations, cybercrimes, problem-area crime enforcement, homeland security, evidence, school resource deputies, and the agency’s Real-Time Crime Center.
Sheriff Rick Staly commended Chief Rodriguez for completing the program. Staly highlighted the seminar's role in providing networking opportunities and enhancing leadership skills, fostering collaboration, and strengthening partnerships to improve public safety across Florida. He also acknowledged the ongoing partnership with the FBI and the FBINAA.
