North Pole Water System Wins State Excellence Award

The North Pole Utility Water System earned Ursa Major status in the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation's Water System Excellence Award for 2022, marking the fifth consecutive year the utility received the designation.

The award recognizes drinking water systems that maintained operator certification compliance for four consecutive quarters and incurred no open or unresolved drinking water violations during the award year. Only 15 percent of Alaska's water utility systems achieved the designation.
