Inverness City Council & Mayor Elections Nov. 3, 2026

Inverness residents will vote Nov. 3, 2026, for mayor and four City Council seats. All positions carry four-year terms.

Candidates have until noon Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, to qualify. Interested candidates should contact City Clerk Susan Jackson at 352-726-2611 ext. 1007.

Voters must register by Oct. 5, 2026. The County Supervisor of Elections handles registration questions at 352-564-7120.

Early voting runs Oct. 22-31, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Inverness Government Center, 212 W. Main St. Polls open Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must cast ballots at their registered precinct. The County Supervisor of Elections handles all absentee ballot requests.
