Police Explorer Program | Aventura, FL The Aventura Police Department is excited to launch its new Police Explorer Program. The Department is looking for highly motivated young men and women (between the ages of 14-19) interested in learning about the law enforcement profession. About the Explorer Program The Police Explorer Program enhances leadership skills, develops teamwork and introduces candidates to a life of service in order to make a difference in their community. Requirements Candidates should: Have good moral character, Participate in scheduled meetings, Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher, Complete a background check, Attend a local school (Priority will be given to Aventura residents). The challenge: build a boat using only cardboard and tape that can successfully transport its crew across the water.
