Indian River County Solid Waste Ordinance Amendments Hearing
The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the county's solid waste ordinance Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 9:05 a.m. in the County Commission Chambers, Building A, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach.
The amendments modify Chapter 204 of the Indian River County Code, changing definitions and disposal charge calculations, repealing the objection process and adjustment board provisions, and amending budget adoption procedures. The ordinance also repeals sections governing Tax Collector collection of disposal charges and errors in the disposal service charge roll, and amends provisions for other fees and rates.
Residents can review the full proposed ordinance at the Office of the County Attorney, Building A, second floor, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, during business hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ordinance is also available online at www.indianriver.gov.
