Boil Water Notice St. Andrews Island - Indian River County
The Indian River County Department of Utility Services issued a precautionary boil water notice Thursday for residents on St. Andrews Island Drive, St. Andrews Island Court, and North Harbor Drive following a water main repair.
The notice affects 30 addresses on St. Andrews Island Drive (5105-5235), two addresses on St. Andrews Island Court (5142 and 5150), and 5055 N. Harbor Drive.
Residents must boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing dishes. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. Bottled water is an alternative.
The notice remains in effect until the utility department completes a bacteriological survey confirming the water is safe. The department will distribute a rescission notice once testing is complete.
Residents with questions can contact the Utility Operations Center at (772) 226-3400 Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. After-hours and weekend inquiries can reach the South County Water Plant at (772) 226-1058.
