LVMPD Nabs Two Juvenile Robbery Suspects After North Las Vegas Chase

LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested two male juveniles Tuesday morning after a police chase tied to three armed street robberies in the northern Las Vegas Valley. The first robbery occurred around 7:15 a.m. near 21st Street and Hinkle Drive, where the suspects approached victims with a gun and stole personal items. Two additional robberies followed in the northern part of the valley, all connected by matching suspect descriptions and vehicle details, according to LVMPD Deputy Chief Noel Roberts.

Police spotted the suspects' car in the southeast part of town and initiated a pursuit that stretched into North Las Vegas. The chase concluded in the 1800 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard near Jerry's Nugget Casino, where officers executed a precision immobilization technique, or PIT maneuver, to stop the vehicle. The two juveniles attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended with no injuries reported.

The arrests came amid a string of robbery incidents plaguing North Las Vegas neighborhoods, heightening concerns among residents near busy corridors like Las Vegas Boulevard North. LVMPD and Clark County School District Police are jointly investigating the crime scenes, with detectives still processing evidence. Officials emphasized the rapid response prevented further violence in the densely populated area.
